Bye Bye Lotion, Hello Grape Seed Oil….

As I sit down to right about this incredible beauty secret…I’m sipping on my go-to drink. Kevita’s Sparkling Probiotic Drink in Lemon Cayenne; to learn more about this read my last blog post.

Now onto one of my favorite beauty secrets….Grape Seed Oil as a replacement to body lotion and facial moisturizer.

I have normal to oily prone skin and it has worked wonders for me.

What is Grape Seed Oil?  It’s derived from the seeds of grapes and much lighter than coconut oil and jojoba oil making it perfect to use for your skin.

Find Here : NOW Grape Seed Oil, 16-Ounce

This has been my routine…..dry brush entire body (more to come on this in a later post), shower, dry off, and lastly, apply Grape Seed Oil all over my body and a few drops on my face.

It feels incredible on your skin and absorbs really quickly.  There are so many benefits to using this oil as well {see below}.  A ton of high-end (not to mention high-priced) lotions and moisturizers use Grape Seed Oil as a base which I found to be interesting.

Benefits :

  1. High in Vitamin C, D, and E : Great for reducing fine lines, wrinkles, scars and even helps to diminish stretch marks…SCORE!
  2. It’s great for acne-prone/oily skin (as well as ALL skin types) because it contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
  3. Absorbs easily into the skin without leaving oil marks on clothing or bedding.
  4. Helps tighten up the skin and naturally cleans out the pores, while also not clogging them.
  5. No harsh chemicals that can be found in many over the counter products.
  6. Helps diminish dark circles under the eye naturally.
  7. Can be super affordable (a little goes a long way) compared to branded lotions/moisturizers.

How to use on face :

You only need to use a few drops to apply to entire face and around eyes.  A great tip is to use a cotton ball to apply to the face.

I’ve really been loving it and and like to apply it right before bed, so it has all night to soak in.  I could definitely see a difference in my skin after using it.  I’m prone to clogged pores on my nose and chin area, this oil has majorly helped clear up those trouble spots for me.

Try it out for yourself and obviously if you have an adverse reaction to it..discontinue use.  My personal experience with it has been amazing though, so I HAD to share it with all of you.

What are you currently using as body lotion and facial moisturizer?  Have you found anything that you really LOVE?  Let me know in the comment section below, I would love to read about it!

XOXO

  1. Hey Sara, reading this I thought to share,as a pigmentologist,I incorporate Grape Seed Oil(formulated or processed specifically for the skin-NOW or Aura Cacia Brand) in post care regimen for my brow micro-blading clients. The healing benefits of the polyphenols and antioxidants in the Grape Seed Oil are phenomenal. Great absorption, provides healing agents, moisturizes and yet allows the facial skin to breath(unlike a petroleum based product most others who do micro-blade procedure suggest)
I myself have been using as my nighttime moisturizer for a year or more ,and your right the benefits exceed my most expensive skin care products.
    Thank You for sharing.
