Airport Style : What I Wore

Ahh, the age old dilemma.  What to wear to the airport.

I personally enjoy dressing up for a flight.  There’s something fun about traveling.  It’s a chance for you to be WHOEVER you want to be.  Have fun with being completely anonymous.

I’m definitely not one to wear sweats….at least on the flight out…the flight home may be a different story {depending on how much fun I had on the trip if you know what I mean}.

For my flight to Chicago I decided to go a little Boho, since we are going to a music festival after all.

I love, love, love this cover-up and get SO many compliments on it. I got it from a little boutique shop in Omaha. It is literally the perfect thing to make any outfit a little more boho-y, not to mention it’s sheer and super lightweight for Summer.

It’s raining in Chicago, so I went with my staple black booties from Frye. They have the perfect heel, are extremely comfortable, and easy to walk-in…a must when traveling to a “walking” city.

The shorts are a cult favorite, they are One Teaspoon. They are pretty short, but along with a cover-up I feel comfortable wearing them.

For the top, I decided to go with a pretty, white body suit that has dainty lace detailing. Going to the restroom will officially take 10 minutes longer with this bodysuit…but beauty is pain..right ladies?!

I went pretty simple with my jewelry featuring a watch, a few rings, small hoop earrings, and a dainty necklace.

We are going to Lollapalooza tomorrow and Saturday, so we will explore the city today when we get there. This will be the perfect outfit to wander around Chicago in and then I can change before dinner.

What’s your favorite thing to wear to the airport? Do you dress up or go comfy?

Boarding is about to begin , so wish us luck! Catch you on the flip side.

XOXO – Sara

  1. I like to dress up for the airport too! Back in the day, men wore suits and ties and women wore dresses and heels to fly in. I’ve always liked the idea of flight as something to look your best for! (I don’t wear dresses with heels, lol, but do like to look cute!) You look amazing!
